Interview with Natasha Dawn
1) What inspired you to write??
I guess it was a couple things. Growing up reading so many different books, I would always think about different ways I would have had the story go. Later on in life, I had a good friend who wrote a book and it was such a great read that it made me start to think about writing and thinking; why not? I sat down and started typing and here we are!
2) Do you have any other work in progress as an author??
I actually am in the process of my second book, it’s about a Valkyrie named Kara. She hates what she is but has come to accept it over the course of a few centuries. Someone from her past makes her question everything about who and what she is. I am having fun writing it and I am very excited to see it all finished :)
3) Who is your favorite author??
I would have to say Sherrilyn Kenyon, I have read the entire Dark Hunter series. Her writing is so full of adventure and comedic touches. The romance element in them is pretty great too, she can definitely write a good love scene. I would love to create a fictional world like she can.
4) What genre's do you read??
I love a lot of different books but I tend to stay in the realm of make-believe and happy endings. I read books as a way to escape and have that sense of adventure, when you read a book in the Crime/Thriller genre, or even based on real events or history, it usually always has a sad ending and nobody wants to be depressed when ending a book. Bring on the happy endings for this girl!
5) Tell me something most people don't know about you??
I watch a lot of Ghost Hunters lol I love it! I haven't really had anything supernatural happen to me but I love a good ghost story and if I had the money and time I would love to investigate a haunted building (with a group of people, of course)
6) Is any of your characters based off someone you know??
Not really. I wanted to have the characters to be original. I was actually asked who I would cast to play the characters in the book and it was hard because, in my mind, they look a certain way that's it's hard to pick an actor to replace that image I have.
7) Favorite place to travel??
I have been a few places that are beautiful and sunny with white beaches but honestly my favorite place is my Mom's cabin. We go in the summer and I love just hanging out with a good fire and the occasional dance and fireworks that go on. Definitely a little summer oasis.
8) If you could be anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you be and why??
I would love to be Princess Kate, you would get to be a princess be married to a future king! Can't get any more real life fairy tale then that! Plus, servants ... that just explains itself.
Run.
I hoofed it like hell hounds snapped at my ankles through the tall grass, pressing the tiny bundle tightly against my chest.
Blair.
The two words swirled in my head, my only thoughts. I couldn’t have imagined the pure evil, the betrayal, the disregard for such a precious package. I ran like the wind, tapping into an unnatural strength, and still, I heard them closing in, coming for me.
Coming for him.
